(HCW's first wife, Betty Flanagan's natural son, who was given up for adoption in April 1946; some debate exists in the family about whether or not this son could be HCW's, but most likely was not.) Letter written after speaking to Martha Renner about HCW. He speaks of his adoptive mother and father. Also makes reference to his own wife and children and their life as well as his war record. Indicates that he would like to change his name [to Westermann's??], but "feel that now I would only be stealing someone else's, just as my last name now too is also a mistake." [the letter is a follow up to a phone conversation that Polvent had with HCW.]
