There are no long distance lines in the west, and few local lines except in California. However, there are many lines in the mid west, with Iowa have greater phone development than Pennsylvania. A fascinating map showing the growth of the phone system at an early stage. Has the logo of the Bell System above the title. Top and bottom rollers are black wood.
