This is the second issue of this map - the first was issued in 1855 in Colton's American Atlas. This version is from the Travelling Maps series, with the date on the map. The illustration of Wheat 832 is not the 1855 issue, as stated, but a later issue (probably 1859) showing "Arizona." Full color, folded into stamped red cloth covers 13x8.5 with "Map Of Utah & New Mexico J.H. Colton" in gilt. Prime meridians are Greenwich and Washington D.C. Relief shown by hachures.
