Note:
Engraved & Printed by S.Stiles, New York. Beautifully engraved map, elegant in every respect, and unusual for a map of a town that was not a major city. We can find nothing about Lester; we assume Robinson is related to D.F. Robinson of Hartford and Robinson & Pratt of New York, both of whom published Olney's Geographies in the 1830's (Thompson is the source of New York as Robinson's address - it is not on the map). Folded into brown leather stamped covers 14x9 with "Map Of Norwich" in gilt.
