The first edition was 1851, with Karrow listing editions annually (except 1852 and this 1854) to 1860, then 1868 and 1869. This was one of the best, detailed maps of the state published in the early 1850's. Full color by county. Folded into stamped brown cloth covers 14.5x9 with "Township Map Of The State Of Missouri Published By J.H. Colton" in gilt. Prime meridians are Greenwich and Washington D.C.
