Still hand colored and still from the same plate as the earlier editions, although the decorative border has been changed, the copyright is now 1889, and a few small railroad revisions have been added (compared to the 1887 edition). Outline color. Map is folded into grayish tan cloth covers 16x9 with "Colton's Map Of The Country Thirty Three Miles Around The City Of New-York G.W. & C.B. Colton & Co. New York" printed in black. Prime meridians are Greenwich and Washington D.C. Relief shown by hachures, depth shown by isolines and soundings.
