Colorful map showing the eastern part of Minnesota Territory and the western part of Wisconsin. 2nd edition, the first being in 1855. No other editions listed in Karrow. The detail is very good and the graphic presentation is classic EB & F - the map jumps out at you. This map is a continuation on the same scale as the EB & F Map of Iowa, 1855 (our 4414) indicating that they were both taken from a large wall map or at least from the same plate. Full color by county. Folded into embossed gray cloth covers 14x9 with "Ensign, Bridgman & Fanning's Map Of Minnesota" stamped in gold.
