Cover is an illustrated envelope which reads, "The Heart of Britain on Your Wall. This is a Small Corner of the Famous Wonderground Map of London Town, Complete in the Envelope ... Published by The Westminster Press, 11 Henrietta Street, Strand, London, W.C.2." Has blue sticker from Edward Stanford, Ltd., Cartographers to the King. Gill's map of the London underground railways is an important early example of 20th century pictorial maps. It influenced other cartographers and initiated a colorful period of pictorial mapmaking internationally.
