One of only 3 state atlases made by the USGS (the others being Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, our #2883 and #4834). Maps have survey dates 1886-1891. Water and contour lines printed in color. Atlas is bound in dark brown cloth covered boards with "Topographical atlas of Connecticut" stamped in gilt on leather label. Another ed. has maps dated 1892-1906, reprinted 1911-1918 (LeGear L3985).
