First edition (2nd ed., 1880). This is the only 19th century atlas of the provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Another Roe, who we assume is related to A.D. & W.B. Roe, was Frederick B. Roe, who had a substantial output of county atlases in Pennsylvania, and other states (see our copies). Full color. Bound in quarter leather teal blue cloth covered boards with "Atlas of the Maritime Provinces, of the Dominion of Canada. By Roe Brothers." stamped in gilt. Includes geological maps and text on geology of area; city maps; and text by Duncan Campbell and James Fowler. County maps at scale 1:443,520. Four p. "Business directory" at end.
