Thanks for the catalog of the Whitney show. Mentions the Rockford show and the show at Morton College. He thinks the Morton College was the first show, outside the galleries. “Also the Goo Man in chrome was in that little show, the Brass Weight and six or so other works, including Mies’ Butterfly which he
took off the wall and handed to me personally.” He keeps looking for the
paintings HCW left with Dorothy. He wrote Greg [Westermann] when he was in Vietnam telling him to “go half way to reconcile (his/yours) differences.” HCW looks like Chester Morris when he slicks down his hair.
