She's glad he finished the boxes and will get to visit Martha; still upset about Jumpers. Her father has a tumor on his leg which needs an operation. How is HCW going to bring a bronze bell back? Many of the postcards he sent would make beautiful paintings. She's not sure how Jumper died, she just saw her hanging at the top of the closed door. HCW's letters remind her of the letters he sent her in 1958 when she was in Reno--with the great envelopes.

The doctor said her spots were form a virus ; hope HCW is recovered his spirits after Santa Paula--"nobody gives you much, you never demand for things.
